History

In 2003, Camp de jour Letendre was founded in Laval. In its beginnings, only 11 different camp programs were offered and welcomed around 80 kids per week. The staff was composed of 15 camp counsellors who believed in the growing potential of the camp.

In 2004, Letendre was officially recognized as a certified member of the Association des Camps du Québec. That same summer, Projet Camp Net was started to recycle empty cans and offer the chance for kids from more difficult backgrounds to participate in camp activities.

Camp de jour Letendre grew the following summers. The activities diversified and the number of kids grew considerably.

In 2010, Camp de jour Saint-Sacrement opened in Terrebonne. With its modern buildings and big open spaces, but mostly with a very dynamic and motivated team, Camp de jour Saint-Sacrement was an immediate success.

In 2011, Camp Hérisson was created allowing kids with adaptive disabilities to live the same camp experience.

English Experience Day Camp sees the light of day in 2015 where most of its activities and operations are in english.

Finally, in 2016, a third camp site is created: Camp de jour des Leaders du Collège Citoyen. With its brand new installations and an experienced team, its success was guaranteed from day one.
